About Myhealth Toowong Village Medical Clinic

Practice

Myhealth Toowong is a mixed billing clinic which is conveniently situated on Level 1 (the Kmart Level) in Toowong Village Shopping Centre.

Our doctors strive to provide utmost quality care to their patients. We welcome new patients and also accommodate walk-in patients where possible. We are RACGP 4th edition standard accredited.

We offer a full range of medical services with pathology onsite for added convenience. We also offer Travel Vaccines, and are also Yellow Fever and Q Fever accredited.

Iron infusions now available at Myhealth Toowong

All patients must book an initial consultation with an iron infusion doctor before having the procedure. If you are a new patient to the clinic, please bring a current health summary, iron studies and full blood count pathology results to this initial appointment.

Selected doctors bulk bill patients who are under 16 and DVA card holders. Bulk billing with a current Centrelink healthcare card, pension card or commonwealth seniors card is available with Dr Sandy Shan-Li Liu. For other doctors, consultation fees do apply. Please contact us on (07) 3217 8033 to enquire about our fees.

Dr Ruban Sankar and Dr Anna Cheriyan exclusively offer Bulk Billing for pension card holders, while Health Care Holders are subject to a $15 discount to standard consultations.

Nobody likes to be kept waiting. Our staff understand this and endeavour to manage all appointments as punctually as possible. However, due to the unpredictable nature of a medical practice – doctors do frequently run behind time. We regret any inconvenience caused due to these delays. Please feel free to contact our surgery staff to confirm whether your doctor is running on time BEFORE you arrive for your appointment. For continuity of care it is recommended to see your usual doctor, however, if they are unavailable you are welcome to see one of the other doctors in the practice.

We are conscious that some of our patients are unable to afford the fee; therefore selected doctors offer bulk billing or reduced rates to children under the age of 16, Pension/Concession Card Holders, DVA Card Holders. Please enquire with our receptionist for details on practitioners who bulk bill or offer reduced rates.

Non-Attendance / Cancellation Policy

We kindly request at least 1 hour's notice for all cancellations. If the required notice is not provided and the appointment is not attended, a $40 fee will be charged to your account immediately. Future appointments cannot be scheduled until the fee is paid. Please note that email cancellations are not accepted, as they are not monitored 24/7.

Are you a Bulk Billing clinic?

At Myhealth Toowong, we are a mixed billing clinic. Bulk billing or reduced rate appointments are available with selected doctors. Please note our Saturday consultations are all privately charged.

Do I need an appointment for a repeat script or repeat referral?

Yes, an appointment is required as the doctors need to ensure that your medical history and symptoms remain the same or if they have changed. For eligible patients, telehealth appointments are also available.

Do I need to see a doctor if I just need to see the nurse for an injection?

Yes, you will be required to see the doctor before going to see the nurse. The doctor needs to check your current health status to make sure you are well enough for the injection. The nurses are here to support the doctors, so you do need to see a doctor first.
