Meet Dr Austin Ko
Drr Ko is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a graduate of the University of Sydney Medical School. He has worked across numerous metropolitan, rural and regional settings, including Private General Practice clinics, Aboriginal Health services, and Urgent Care clinics. His experience has given him exposure to a broad range of presentations, including acute and chronic care concerns, sexual health and preventative care. He has a particular interest in supporting people who may experience barriers to accessing healthcare, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and LGBTQI+ communities. His aim is to provide a welcoming, inclusive and non-judgemental environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their health. What he values most about being a GP is getting to know his patients over time, understanding their individual circumstances and working together to support their health and wellbeing. Dr Ko has also completed a Certificate of Practical Dermoscopy through Dermatology Australia and can conduct skin cancer checks and minor procedures.
