Meet Dr Samia Maciel Camelo
Dr Samia Maciel Camelo is a General Practitioner with a special interest in perimenopause and menopause care.
She is passionate about supporting women through hormonal changes from their mid-30s onwards, including perimenopause, menopause, and associated concerns such as sleep disturbance, mood changes, weight changes, and menstrual irregularities.
Dr Samia provides comprehensive, personalised care, combining lifestyle and stress management strategies with evidence-based medical treatment, including tailored menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) where appropriate. She is committed to ensuring her patients feel heard, informed, and confident in their treatment decisions.
Originally from Brazil, Dr Samia graduated from the Federal University of Ceara in 2008 and worked as a GP for six years before relocating to Australia in 2019. She achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2022 and now calls the Gold Coast home.
Dr Samia is fluent in Portuguese and English.
Appointments are best suited to women aged 35 and over seeking support for perimenopause, menopause, or hormonal health concerns. New patient bookings are prioritised for these areas.

Please note that our consultations are privately billed. Out-of-pocket fees generally range from $60 to $150 depending on consultation type and complexity, and are payable on the day of your appointment.
