    Billing Update – Effective 1 November 2025

    Starting 1 November 2025, our practice will bulk bill all Medicare-eligible patients for all consultations, including weekends.

    Everything you need to know about Bayside Medical Centre

    Are you a bulk billing clinic?
    Yes. From November 1, 2025 our billing policy has been updated to align with the new Medicare bulk billing initiative, providing Medicare-eligible patients the opportunity to access high-quality care with no out-of-pocket costs.

    Do I require an appointment for just a prescription?
    Yes, you will still need to book an appointment with your doctor, either in person or via a telephone consult.

    I paid for my phone consult with the doctor via the link, how do I get my rebate back?
    If you do not receive your rebate back from Medicare within 24 hours, please use your receipt to claim it back manually on the Medicare App. If you have any issues, please don't hesitate to contact our reception team.

    Can I come into the clinic if I have cold or flu symptoms?
    Please contact our reception team if you have any cold or flu symptoms. We will then require you to take a RAT test before attending the clinic. If the RAT test is negative, you can be seen for a face-to-face consult but will be required to wear a mask upon clinic attendance. Telehealth can be offered if the RAT test is positive.
