Dr Ibrahim Merei

Dr. Ibrahim Merei holds a Doctor of Medicine with High Distinction from the University of Notre Dame Sydney and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Prior to medicine, he completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering (Class I Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Sydney. He completed his hospital training across major Sydney centres, including St George Hospital and The Sutherland Hospital.

Dr. Merei has a special interest in skin cancer medicine, dermoscopy, and procedural dermatology, holding both the Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and the Certificate of Dermoscopy from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia (SCCA). His practice focuses on skin cancer prevention, comprehensive skin checks, and accurate dermoscopic diagnosis for early detection.

He performs a range of dermatological procedures, including skin cancer excisions, flap and graft reconstructions, and minor cutaneous surgery such as lipoma and sebaceous cyst removals. Alongside general practice, Dr. Merei works as a private surgical assistant to specialist surgeons in Sydney, maintaining advanced procedural skills and surgical standards. He also has a dedicated interest in WorkCover medicine, supporting patients through work-related injury assessment, rehabilitation, and management.
